*A NOTE ON SHIPPING COSTS*
I get a lot of emails about the pricey shipping costs so I just want to address it here. I'm not scamming you. These are the actual costs of the US postal service priority mail right now. Especially shipping outside of the USA, the costs are very high, I know. I wish I could do something about it to make this more accessible but I can't. I only send priority mail now instead of a cheaper media mail because I've had so many issues in the past with things getting lost or destroyed if I don't send priority mail and then I end up having to reimburse the cost of the record as well as the shipping and I've lost a lot of money that way so this is really the only option for me shipping right now unfortunately. Just know that all the shipping costs are going towards actual postage, I'm not pocketing any money beyond the cost of the item. I understand if you can't stomach the shipping cost, I don't blame you....love you anyways :)

...more
I started writing this song, initially, to channel my feelings about being stuck in and around my house quite a lot during the pandemic quarantine and on-going social distancing. It journeys through my evolution from feeling isolated to feeling peaceful and unconstrained. It mirrors, in many ways, the age old trick of “looking at the bright side of things”. To have no mail could be seen as being forgotten or feeling unproductive, or it could be seen as being left alone, being gifted a bit of freedom. My goal, increasingly in life, is to keep getting better at turning each thing over and over in the hands of my mind and heart to see each side, to see each truth, and hold it all at the same time, and choose the one that brings me armistice.
lyrics
There Is No Mail Today
I’m glad you got away, I just can’t seem to leave
I feel antagonizing, just this widow’s peak
I am my own canary, in my own mine of coal
I get the strongest drink in the unstirred punch bowl
I give myself no margin but to the edge I’ve strayed
The yard is overgrown, there is no mail today
The shadows move around me, all it would take to change
is a movement of myself to some other place
I am a deep snow angel in the melted snow
I put my hand on the plow, turned away from the row
Now I don’t know the devil, but I know my own dismay
The yard is overgrown, there is no mail today
I am a broken gambler, the house will always win
Looking up to the sky and there’s no sky within
But maybe not to gamble is the greater wrong
So I will be that villian and that canary blonde
The ground is warm and healthy and so much time to play
The yard is overgrown, there is no mail today
